September is Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month. Do you know what a brain aneurysm is? A brain aneurysm is a bulge, like a balloon, that forms on a vein. When blood pumps through the vein, it "balloons" out, thinning the wall of the vein. Over time, the wall can become thin enough to break causing blood to leak into the brain. When a brain aneurysm ruptures this is a STROKE.
